The Dynamic Vacuum System (DVS) was designed to aid in the movement reduction between the residual limb and the socket as the result of volume fluctuation. Comprised of three components (Vacuum Pump, Liner and Sleeve), the system helps in providing enhanced control and fit to the user. The vacuum generates during walking and maintains elevated vacuum in both swing and stance phase. If the user increases their activity, the system’s pumping output increases until the pistoning in the socket is reduced and a higher vacuum equilibrium is reached.
