Workplace and Staff Safety: Cascade has created a remote working environment for department team members to limit contact between colleagues and reduce the risk of potential transmission.  Due to the immense impact of COVID-19, certain staff members have been furloughed to keep the business operational.  Across the various departments, essential team members have been retained so customers can meet their emergent and critical care needs. 

Distribution Staff: Team members who remain in the distribution centers have been instructed (according to CDC guidelines) to: stay home if they are sick or exhibit any symptoms, refrain from using public transportation, keep a safe distance (at least six feet) from others, practice good hygiene and frequently wash their hands, sanitize common areas and surfaces, and conduct all meetings in a virtual setting.

Outside Travel Policy: There is a strict travel restriction in place for all non-essential business travel.  Primary methods of communication will be: telephone, email, and video conferencing.  We are confident through the use of technology and consistent communication that Cascade can maintain the same levels of contact with customers and industry associates.

Local Community Communication: Cascade is monitoring local developments in all of our distribution locations to ensure our staff is up to date with the latest information on the impacts of the virus in their area.

Business Operations: Cascade is committed to provide the same levels of communication, service, and support to customers and the patients they serve.  

Order Channels: There are no order cutoff time changes. Orders are being processed through all order channels: OPIE, Cascade website, Customer Service, Email, Fax, Brightree, etc.

Inventory Management: Cascade will be consistently monitoring and adjusting inventory levels of key products, reporting inventory or supplier-related issues, and proactively notifying customers of backordered items as the situation evolves.





Shipping and Logistics: Cascade expects to see some impact to our UPS delivery services as we navigate these uncertain times.  Cascade’s Leadership Team is closely monitoring the situation and customers will be updated with any potential disruptions to service. 

UPS Suspension of Small Package Service Guarantee: Effective March 26, 2020  (until further notice), UPS has suspended the UPS® Service Guarantee for all shipments to any destination, at all service levels.  Cascade will be staying up to date with UPS’s COVID-19 Resource Page for information regarding the impact of Coronavirus on UPS Small Package services.

Note from UPS: Prior to shipping Small Package, please check to see if your recipient’s location is open, since business hours may have changed due to local restrictions. If the location is closed, UPS will hold your Small Package shipment and attempt to complete the delivery at a later date if the receiving location has indicated to UPS that it will reopen within 9 days.  However, if the location is closed indefinitely, UPS will return the package to the sender.

COVID-19 Transmission Risk for Packages: Additional information on the risk of exposure from cardboard or shipping containers may be a concern for industry.  Our preferred shipping carrier, UPS, has issued a global statement in accordance with Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines assuring the risk of transmission is considerably low.  For more information, please visit their website.

Shipping Options: Customers are welcome at any time to call Cascade Customer Service (800-888-0865) and request a change in address (at no charge) to redirect shipments to an alternate business address, residence, or UPS Access Point.  Customers can find the nearest UPS Access Point here.  Please note: many retail UPS Access Points (like CVS or Michaels) have reduced hours and closures are contingent on county, city, and state mandates. Please make sure to check your desired UPS Access Point prior to scheduling a shipment redirect.

UPS Tools: Customers can also sign up (at no charge) for UPS My Choice® for business which allows you track, reschedule, redirect, or hold shipments for pickup from the dashboard.  For an additional resource video, please click here.
