By varying the amount of pelvic thrust at toe-off, the patient using the Littig Hip System can selectively release energy and control the forward speed of the knee in motion. The action provides a controlled foot rise and effectively shortens the prosthesis at mid swing to allow variability in toe clearance. Strut options allow for a prosthesis to be made to proper length, virtually eliminating vaulting. Complete system includes Pediatric Hip Joint, 12" Strut and 10° Adapter.
